Is this motherboard any good?

it does support SATA HDD, 4 of them. The problem is it doesnt have integrated graphics so you will need to buy a video card ( cost from $40-$1000). i would recommend one with integrated graphics if you are not a serious gamer. if you are and are planning on getting a good video card than go with that one.
