Why is my dog so disobedient and a pain when i got for walks?

training training and more training really!! how about trying to find a good training cl you could go to? does he like toys? some dogs will work better for a toy rather than food and you can even keep a special one for just when you are out. you have to try and make yourself more interesting to him than anything else going on around him. using a harness is fine but doesnt automatically stop a dog pulling and you can sometimes end up with a dog with a very powerful front end! has he been castrated? this may be worth considering if not, although it is not a quick fix, you still need good basic training.
