Is it possible to be in love this fast?

i met this guy about a year and a half ago. he and my ex husband worked on music together and when i would go out with them to support, i got a chance to see his character and his personality. i felt a connection to him and apparently he felt the same connection but at the time i was married and my way of coping was to completely avoid him. he avoided me too (he was friends with my ex at the time so he did it out of respect.) now, my ex and i arent together (only because he found someone he THOUGHT was better than me and he treated me like i wasn't worth anything but it seems he is realizing the error of his ways, but another story for another time), he and my ex arent friends anymore because allegedly, my ex messed around with his then girlfriend (i know, drama) and we have expressed our feelings towards each other. its only been a week and a half but i feel so strongly about him and he feels just as strongly about me. im drawn to his character, his humor, his morals, his intellect, and many other things. its not at all about (he respects that i want to wait until marriage, again lol). can it be love or is it merely infatuation, because it feels alot like love and i know what love feels like.
