I can't remember the title of this movie on BET!!!?

Ugg so I saw this really good movie, but now I can't remember the title and it's going to drive me insane if I don't figure it out. I don't know any of the actors either! It's about this girl who sings at a church and she meets this guy. He wants to bring her to new york I think and promises her a record deal. Then she goes with him and leaves her father who's very upset and once they get there that guy becomes abusive and she never gets the record deal. Then she goes home and finds out she's pregnant or sumthing. All the people in this move are african american. Please help. thannks :)
