How long did it take for your child to learn the Ferber method?

Not every method is going to be right for every baby. Some babies are too stubborn for something like the Ferber method and you have to go with the flow or develop your own method. My oldest was like this. We finally set up a sleeping bag next to our bed and let her camp out with us until she fell asleep and then carried her to her own bed. If she woke up in the middle of the night, she would go climb in her sleeping bag next to us. She just didn't like being alone! By the time she was three she was falling asleep in her own bed, though we kept the sleeping bag out for the times when she woke up in the middle of the night.
